LEARN MORE

What is cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation?

Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute is a comprehensive monitored program that includes education and exercise designed to improve your health and build endurance in your heart and lungs after a cardiac or pulmonary procedure.

The goal of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation is to help you return to the best physical condition possible so you feel stronger, have more energy and decrease your risk for future cardiac and pulmonary episodes.

Whether you have a long-term cardiac or pulmonary condition or have had a recent surgery or procedure, our rehabilitation team will develop a plan that is right for you. As you progress through your rehabilitation, your activity level will change and new goals will be set.
